Alpha Spectra, Inc. offers many different sizes for each standard design. In the following tabs you will find tables that show most of the sizes that we have built for customers around the world. If you don’t see the size here that you need, please contact us, we will be happy to provide design modifications that will help you meet your application requirements.
We provide our standard products in both gross counting and spectroscopy grades of NaI(Tl). We also provide many of these designs in other scintillation materials. You will be pleased with the extraordinary performance of our spectroscopy grade material. Even though the typical energy resolution specification for many standard detectors is specified to be 7.5% or better at 662 keV, we typically ship detectors that achieve energy resolution better than 7.0%. When your application demands superior quality, we will guarantee the energy resolution to be better than 7.0%. The significant exception to this promise is the well detector design.
If you require pulse height resolution (PHR) at 662 keV that is equal to or better than 6.5% at 662 keV, we would recommend our premium material integrated to a high quantum efficiency PMT. Contact us for more details.
Whether the detector is used for gross counting or spectroscopy, we provide a Final Quality Control Test Sheet for each detector purchased. Did you misplace your data sheet? If you are the original purchaser of the detector, let us know the model number and the serial number and we will replace it for you at no charge. It’s part of the dedicated service that we offer.
These are the standard type detectors that we offer:
- Open Face
- Integral
- Demountable
- Well
- Thin Window/F.I.D.L.E.R.
- Environmental
- Ruggedized
- Large Area
- Large Volume
- SiPM Designs
- Standard Annular
- Accessories
The detectors that we manufacture are built in many different scintillation materials. See our ASI Scintillation Materials Data Sheet. The most common are NaI(Tl), CsI(Tl), CsI(Na), BGO, CeBr3 and plastic scintillators.
While browsing our website, you will immediately notice that there are numerous detector configurations that we manufacture. Where these detector types are combined to provide a unique solution for a given application. For example, we build a special demountable beryllium thin window unit that is used to measure very low energy x-rays. It is called a F.I.D.L.E.R. probe. Contact us to discuss your special design combination. Please see our Manufacturing tab for more info about our manufacturing capabilities.
